BELLEZZA SALON LAUNCHES MONTHLY DENIM FOR A CAUSE INITIATIVE

Warren, NJ (October 7, 2015) … If it’s the first Saturday of the month, it’s a great day to wear your jeans to your salon appointment at Bellezza Salon in Warren.

Now in its 6th month, Bellezza Salon’s Denim for a Cause has raised thousands of dollars for worthy charitable causes that include various community food banks, The Red Cross, NJ Boxer Rescue, and most recently on Saturday, October 3rd, Breast Cancer Awareness, where the salon raised $520.

The initiative was born out of the desire by Bellezza stylists to occasionally wear jeans to work. Collectively and creatively, they sold the idea to salon owner Jocelyn Northcutt by agreeing to each donate $5 to an agreed-upon charity in exchange for the privilege to wear jeans one day each month. The initiative gathered steam and now the salon involves their clients in the charitable mission – with Bellezza donating $5 on behalf of each of their clients wearing jeans that Saturday.

“When my stylists wanted to go casual one day a month, we all agreed that the best idea would be to go casual for a cause. The entire team was immediately on board and shortly thereafter, our loyal clients wanted to become a part of our mission,” explains Bellezza master stylist and owner Joceyln Northcutt. “Everyone looks forward to the first Saturday of the month – not only because they’re wearing jeans, but because together, as a community, we’re making a small difference to a group or an organization in need. It feels good!”

Established in 1999, Bellezza Salon offers a complete menu of services for women, men and children including cuts, blowouts and styling, color, perms, special occasion styling, makeup and waxing.
