Defenders Geigrich, Sibilla and Mullaney Help Jr. Warriors Keep Perfect Record

Team tops North Hunterdon 20-8 with three touchdowns.

Both teams took to the field last night with unbeaten records, but only the Jr. Warriors kept their record.

The North Hunterdon squad struck first with an interception on the Jr. Warrior 10 yard line followed by a successful run into the end zone. On their next possession, the Jr. Warriors marched down the field on a 69-yard drive, highlighted by a 31-yard reception from QB Mark Ball to RB Dylan Badger. Ball took it in from the 1 yard line to even the score at 8-8.

In the second half, LB Nick Kohler grabbed a pop-up caused by a Frank Rica sack and charged 15 yards to rack up the second Jr. Warrior TD.  Jake Belot garnered the third TD with a 16-yard scamper down the right sideline.

North Hunterdon was limited to 107 yards total offense with big performances from David Geigrich with seven tackles, Alex Sibilla with six tackles and Sean Mullaney with five.

The Jr. Warriors pair up next Saturday night against archrival Bridgewater at Bridgewater-Raritan H.S. at 7:30 p.m.
