Down a few bodies, gymnastics team holds their own.
The Watchung Hills Regional High School gymnastics team fell to North Hunterdon High School in Annandale on Thursday evening, losing 101.325-89.275.
In Short
Even with a few of their regulars out of the lineup due to injuries and illnesses, the Warriors gymnastics team battled admirably against North Hunterdon. Head Coach Tiffany North got terrific production out of her star freshmen in Chloe Paulsen and Anne Meringolo, but North Hunterdon had a few standout performances of their own, enough to edge out the Warriors on Thursday night.

They said it
“We were missing some of our teammates today, so it was harder but I think we overall did pretty good. If we work hard on our skills, we can win a competition.” – Junior Harley Maslin
Coach’s Take
“I was very, very happy with beams today. The girls stayed on the beam for the most part. Annie and Chloe really stepped up. We had a lot of girls that were hurt and not in the lineup. The girls that remained in the lineup really kept it up tonight and picked up the slack.” —Head Coach Tiffany North
