This fantastic annual event, hosted by the Patriots Path Council of the Boy Scouts of America for Webelos Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts, is being held this Saturday, 1/29/2011 9A-2:30P at the Watchung Reservation-Loop Playground- W.R. Tracy Drive, Mountainside entrance.
Come see which local troop's sled team wins the competition of collecting the most "gold nuggets" the fastest as they put their leadership, teamwork, and other learned skills to work. Only the sleds with the best leadership will be able to effectively motivate their team to pull their sleds to each "town" / station earning gold nuggets for everything from team spirit and teamwork to specific outdoor skills. This is the first year for many of the boys where they have the thrill of pulling their sleds in the snow rather than over frozen dry ground.
Remember to dress warmly to cheer the boys on!
