Helping Kids with Grief and Loss
Useful information on how to help a grieving child or teen.

The Long Hill Library is offering a program for parents, caregivers & educators called Helping Kids with Grief & Loss (A Program for Parents, Care Givers & Educators) on Saturday, May 6 @ 12:30.
The death of a family member, friend, schoolmate or significant person is a lifelong loss for children and teens. It is natural for kids to miss the person who died and to experience confusion and grief. Grief may come and go with different levels of intensity for some time after the death.
It’s challenging for parents and caregivers to know what to do, what to say, and how to help children who are hurting. Grief reactions are varied, wide-ranging and unique to each person.
