Jr. Warriors Crush Phillipsburg Varsity

Tally 41 points with six different players scoring.

The Junior Warrior Varsity continued its unbeaten streak last night with a lopsided victory over the visiting Phillipsburg Varsity, 41-0.

Offensively, Jake Belot scored first on a 3-yard run set up by a fumble recovery on the Jr. Warrior 23 yard line. Dylan Badger struck next with a 15 yard-run off tackle. QB Mark Ball then connected with TE Frank Rica for a 38 yard reception and TD.

RB Jon Catania had the longest run of the evening covering 50 yards for a TD. In the second half, Nick Kohler and John Yorey topped off the scoring with TD carries of 2 yards and 5 yards, respectively. Jack Stefurak was 2 for 4 on conversion kicks with Sam Wamakima earning a conversion on a run off center.

On Defense, Alex Sibilla and David Geigrich led with 5 tackles/1 fumble recovery apiece followed by Tyler Helbing with 4 and Frank Rica with 3.

The Jr. Warrior Varsity will have a bye next week to prepare for their Oct. 15 matchup against fellow unbeaten North Hunterdon Varsity at WHRHS, 7:30 p.m.
