Jr. Warriors Top Montgomery, 16-6

Defense holds Montgomery to just 52 yards in total offense.

The Jr. Warrior Varsity met the Montgomery squad at Montgomery High School Saturday night, and left the field with another victory.

On offense, FB Nick Kohler led the charge with 8 carries for 95 yards and one TD. Jake Belot registered 7 carries for 44 yards and one TD followed by Sean Mullaney with 7 carries for 35 yards and 4 first downs. QB Mark Ball was 5 for 8 passing with Frank Rica(2 for 25 yds), Dylan Badger(2 for 22 yds) and Nick Kohler(1 for 25 yds) on the receiving end.

Substitute place kicker Tyler Furlong went 2 for 2 on PATs.

On defense, David Giegerich led the way with 8 tackles followed by Alex Sibilla, Jon Catania, Dylan Badger and Tyler Helbing with 5 tackles apiece. Mario Valladares garnered 2 sacks with David Giegerich, Alex Sibilla, Tyler Helbing, Evan Boretz and Chaz Mazzucco all claiming a sack. The Montgomery squad was limited to 52 yards total offense with 40 yards derived from WH penalties.

The Jr. Warriors are scheduled to play a make-up game against Voorhees Tuesday night with playoffs scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 12 at WHRHS.
