Keeping Babies Safe Honors Lance As Federal Legislator of the Year

Rich and Joyce Davis of Warren are co-founders of the organization.

Congressman Leonard Lance (NJ-07) was named "Federal Legislator of the Year" by Keeping Babies Safe, a nationwide advocacy organization that educates new parents about safe sleep and advocates for the removal of unsafe baby products on the market. Rich and Joyce Davis of Warren are co-founders of the organization.

“It was our pleasure to award Congressman Lance for his ongoing commitment to protecting America's babies," said Joyce Davis, founder of Keeping Babies Safe. "Rep. Lance has been an incredible supporter of our organization and has joined us in calling for a nationwide ban on the sale of supplemental baby mattresses, which are a suffocation hazard when used with a soft-sided play yard. The congressman does not want another baby in this country to suffocate through the common misuse of this product. We applaud his commitment, focus and understanding of this critical issue."

Lance serves as the Vice Chair of the Commerce, Manufacturing and Trade Subcommittee in Congress which has oversight over product and consumer safety.
