Cranford artist Vincent Kuhn, 63, is a self- taught sculptor. He has worked in wood, stone and steel. As the title suggests, this exhibit will focus on rusted steel sculptures, which he has created over a period of years. Materials used in the sculptures are generally discarded steel found by the artist.
Kuhn follows no set creative process and prefers the free association of the steel and the energy of the moment. Kuhn’s art has been influenced by, and in many cases inspired by, a number of sculptors. most notably David Smith and Karl Sterner.
