Hinds Homers, Doubles in Watchung Hills' Loss

Warriors drop baseball opener to high-powered Rutgers Prep.

The Watchung Hills baseball team couldn't overcome Rutgers Prep in Saturday's season opener, losing 10-5 at Frank Mantullo Stadium.

Despite falling behind in the middle innings, the Warriors almost battled back late in the game, after sophomore pitcher Joey Rocchietti shut out the Argonaut batters in the sixth and followed with a scoreless seventh inning. In the seventh inning, a double by Zach Raibley kept things interesting, but the Warriors were unable to take advantage of the hit.
