VET in need of emergency help
After meeting my biological uncle a week ago and spending time with him, he surprisingly opened up to me about very serious mental condition

VET In Need
My story: I was adopted by my parents whom live in NJ when I was baby. This year, as a 21 year old, I took the trip of a lifetime to meet my biological family. This included my mom, half siblings, grandparents, great-grandparents, and aunts/uncles. One particular person I connected with was my uncle. I spent several days at his place, which everyone was overjoyed with as he had isolated from his family. From here he finallly felt comfortable enough these past couple days to open up about what he has been struggling with by himself....
My uncle, just 11 years older than I, was in the Marine Corps and served in Iraq and the Philipenes. He returned with severe ptsd, survivors guilt, and to a wife that was pregnant with someone else's child. Needless to say he divorced her, was alone and had no way of coping with his experiences. He coped with gambling at the time, got remarried, but was still doing no better. At this point he decided to get help and learned coping mechanisms and recognition tools for his cycle.
Recently he relapsed back into the cycle due to very negative living circumstances. He recognized the path he was on, but was unable to receive help before it was a straight downward spiral. Currently he is suffering severe paranoia, insomnia, depression/isolation, drug abuse, and suicidal inclinations.
I have become the only one he will listen to you or talk to on any level as he has blocked everyone else out. The purpose of this gofundme. Is to help my uncle receive the help he has been asking for, but hasn't thus far received. Any dollar amount would count and I appreciate any donation. I'm doing all that I can for him. I worry day and night about his wellbeing, I know you can't save everyone, but I can't help but to try everything I can. Thank you so much for even just listening.
