Warren Cub Scout Pack 182 Holds Book Drive to benefit Township Elementary Schools
In April Cub Scout Pack 182 engaged the community to donate children's books at each of the township's four elementary schools.
During the month of April, Cub Scout Pack 182 engaged the community in a Book Drive to benefit our schools. Michael Ryder was the main organizer of the drive. A collection box was decorated and placed at each of the four township elementary schools and books were collected. The Watchung Hills Elks Lodge #885 was also kind enough to host a collection box for us. Approximately 1000 books were collected town wide during the month!
An adult representative from the Pack and contacts from each school collaborated on the process of collecting, sorting and distributing the books to the teachers within each school to be most useful. At the end of the drive, once the books were sorted by volunteers at each location, the books were categorized and showcased for teachers to “shop” for books to use in their classrooms.
There were many people who made this Book Drive a huge success! Thank you for your hard work!
