Warren Cub Scout Pack 182 Participate in Winter Wear Drive
Warren Cub Scouts Pack 182 Contribute Coats & Hats to Project Warm Your Heart to benefit children in need in Somerset County

In the month of October, Cub Scouts from Pack 182 in Warren, NJ collected coats, gloves, mittens, scarves and hats to help local children in need. These items were contributed to “Project Warm Your Heart” organized by the Somerset County Commission on the Status of Women, the items will be distributed through the Food Bank Network of Somerset County to ensure it’s young residents stay warm this winter.
Afsaneh Thursfield, Assistant Cubmaster spearheaded the effort among the 60+ families in Pack 182. Our group was proud to be one of the largest donors to the project. 43 coats, 15 scarves, 30 pair of gloves and mittens and 55 hats were contributed! Afsaneh commented, “It is gratifying to know how many children are going to have a warmer winter and a thankful heart because of our generosity and time. A gift from children to children - what could be better?”
