Warren Named 3rd Safest Town In NJ
SafeWise released the 50 Safest Cities in New Jersey for 2018.

WARREN, NJ — Warren came in at the third safest town in New Jersey, according to a report released by SafeWise.
SafeWise released the report of the 50 Safest Cities in the Garden State for 2018 on Monday.
To compile this report, SafeWise analysts reviewed the most recent 2016 FBI crime statistics and population data. The evaluation is based on the number of reported violent crimes (aggravated assault, murder, rape and robbery) in each city per 1000 people. If there was a tie, we also factored in the number of property crimes (burglary, arson, larceny-theft, and car theft).

Here is how Warren Township breaks down:
- Population: 16,051
- Violent crimes per 1,000: 0.06
- Property crimes per 1,000: 3.43
- Total crimes: 1.82% violent, 98.18% property
Two other Somerset County towns made the list including: Basking Ridge at number two and Montgomery at number 18.

Cities that fell below identified population thresholds or failed to submit a complete FBI crime report were excluded from the ranking system.
