Warren Township Basketball Teams Win Scott Anderson Tourney

Warrent Township Youth Basketball Scott Anderson Tourney Watchung Hills Regional High School

Three Warren youth travel basketball teams won their respective brackets in the 6th Annual Scott W. Anderson Tournament on December 6th at Watchung Hill Regional High School. The charity tournament, hosted by the WYBA (Warren Youth Basketball Association) benefits a scholarship fund and honors Scott W. Anderson, the WYBA founding president.

In action over the weekend, the Warren Township 7th grade boys travel team, coached by Patty Edelman, beat Summit in the finals, 42 to 37, to win their bracket. The Warren Township 6th grade boys travel team closed out their division, with Blake Kominsky claiming tourney MVP honors. The Warren Township 5th grade girls travel team, coached by Judy Shanahan, beat Clark in the finals, as Claire Gillenwater was named MVP.

Congratulations to all players, coaches, parents, and volunteers who participated in this successful early season tournament.
