The District 12 champion Warriors 14U baseball squad began their quest for a state championship Fiday, beating Manalapan, 7-5, in the opening game.
The team plays Bridgewater on Saturday, followed West New York on Tuesday.
The winner and runner-up of the 4-team bracket will compete in four team playoff against the winner and runner-up in the four team bracket consisting of Branchburg, Roxbury, Matawan and Clifton.
