Field Hockey Team Looking to Improve Record

The team is looking to be competitive in every game and give teams a run for their money.

Head Coach Maria Bachert, in her 14th year, is looking to keep her squad competitive for the 2011 season.  It is certainly a tough task, as the Warriors have some stiff competition from some of the top teams in the area entrenched in the Skyland Conference.

In 2010, the Warriors finished with a mark of 3-9-3.

How They’re Doing So Far

So far, the Warriors are 1-11 on the year.  Their lone win came two weeks ago at home against conference rival, Hillsborough.  They have fallen to Bridgewater-Raritan (twice), Hunterdon Central (twice), North Hunterdon (twice), Pingry (twice), Ridge (twice) and Hillsborough.

Keep Your Eye On

Jen Sinnott – The senior midfielder’s determination will help lead the 2011 squad.

Erin Scwartzstein – The junior forward’s control of the offensive tempo will help the offense succeed this season.

Megan Morse – The senior midfielder’s speed will be relied upon in order to play an effective two-way game and help lead the midfield group.

They Miss

Brittany Temple – One of last year’s seniors, Temple is now at Bucknell University.

Alyssa Kantor – Kantor is now at Rutgers University.

Stephanie Wong – A Warrior in spring of 2011, Wong is currently attending the University of Illinois.
