WYBA Rec & Travel Basketball Registration

The Warren Youth Basketball Association (WYBA) is proud to announce that it’s time to sign up girls and boys for the Rec (grades 3-8) or Travel (4-8) basketball season! Registration is now open for players and coaches at www.warrenyouthbasketball.org. WYBA programs are a great way to:

• Inspire our children to become members of a team,
• Practice the ideals of sportsmanship,
• Learn the game of basketball among friends,
• Develop court skills and team dynamics,
• Build self-confidence, and
• Have fun! Coaches Needed for Travel and Recreational Basketball Teams (Open to All Ages) Anyone interested in becoming a coach for Travel or Recreational basketball is asked to complete an on-line form. Even if you have coached in the past, you will be required to register again through our on-line system. All coaches will be subject to fingerprinting requirements, AED/CPR Certification, and completion of the Rutgers Safety Certification Clinic. Travel Basketball: Boys & Girls grades 4 through 8

Each age group will have three (3) days of try-outs during the week of October 19th. Travel teams typically have three (3) days of practices per week in addition to a game, with games and tourneys running from November through March.

• Oct. 5th – Coach registration deadline
• Oct. 18th – Player sign-up deadline
• Oct. 19-24th – Player Try-outs (see web for details on tryout schedule dates, times, and locations)

Recreation Basketball: Boys & Girls grades 3 through 8

Games will be held on Friday nights or Saturday mornings from early December through the beginning of March. All players must attend an assessment session for their grade level to ensure balanced team selection.

• Nov. 7th – Coach registration deadline
• Nov. 7th – Player sign-up deadline
• Nov. 9-14th – Player skill assessments (schedule dates, times, & locations will be posted on the web)
