Yoga and Zumba Classes at the Watchung Arts Center

For anyone looking for a way to exercise, have fun and relieve some tension.

The Wathchung Arts Center is pleased to offer the latest workshops for our members and patrons. With twice-a-week Zumba classes and a variety of offerings in Yoga, the Center has something for anyone looking for a way to exercise, have fun and relieve some tension.
Zumba classes will be held on Wednesday evenings at 6PM and Saturday mornings at 10 AM, under the guidance of Yulibeth Oliviera. Yulibeth is a Physical Therapist with more than 13 years of experience, who used Zumba in her own personal fitness program and began teaching it to co-workers, and holds a number of certificates in Zumba instruction.
Come and enjoy Zumba, the fitness program that marries music and dance for a fun and energizing workout. Each class is a complete cardio work-out while burning calories and relieving stress, leaving you feeling better and exhilarated.The first classes are scheduled for Wednesday, September 16 and Saturday, September 19.
The Fall Yoga program kicks off with two free trial classes on Tuesday, September 8, at 10:00 am and 6:30 PM, with the 14-week series beginning on Friday, September 11 and running through Tuesday, December 15. A variety of Yoga classes are offered, for beginners as well as those already acquainted with Yoga. Sessions are scheduled throughout the week, with morning and evening classes available, so there is a class to fit any schedule and experience level.
The three Yoga instructors, Renata Cardinal, Susan Ahlstrom and Mike MacDonald, combine for nearly sixty years of yoga training and teaching, with each of them having begun in the mid nineties’s. They hold a variety of Yoga certifications and they all continue to train under various renowned Yoga teachers.
