6 Shoplifters, 2 Drug-Related Arrests Made In Watchung

There were six reported shoplifting incidents with five arrests and two drug-related arrests in Watchung.

WATCHUNG, NJ — There were six reported shoplifting incidents with five arrests and two drug-related arrests in Watchung.

Watchung Police Blotter:

On Oct. 30 at 6:14 p.m.: Walmart on Route 22 West reported a shoplifter who fled from the store. The suspect was described as 6'5" black male wearing a black and grey sweatshirt who removed approximately 6 video games from the store with a total retail value of $120.

On Nov. 2 at 12:48 p.m.: Stephen Twist, 36, of Piscataway was arrested for CDS Paraphernalia and having an active warrant out of Essex County. He was transported to headquarters and processed.

On Nov. 2 at 4:35 p.m.: Mary Amon, 29, of Irvington was arrested for Shoplifting $79.60 worth of nail care and hygiene products from Walmart on Route 22 West. She hid the products in her purse and tried to leave the store before being stopped. She was transported to headquarters, processed and was released pending a court date.

On Nov. 2 at 4:56 p.m.: Dale Roach, 56, of Plainfield was arrested for Shoplifting 10 bottles of shampoo worth $57.60 from Stop N Shop on Route 22 West. He also had a warrant out of Plainfield for $500 and was transported to Plainfield Police in lieu of bail.

On Nov. 3 at 11:54 a.m.: Wins Ohamadike, 72, of Maplewood was arrested for having a warrant out of Scotch Plains Municipal Court for $500 and Driving While Suspended during a motor vehicle stop on Route 22 East. He was transported to headquarters, processed and released after posting full bail.

On Nov. 3 at 6:40 p.m.: Simon Anderson, 19, of Gillette for Shoplifting merchandise worth $245.86 from Walmart on Route 22 West. He was transported to headquarters, processed and was released pending a court date.

On Nov. 3 at 9:10 p.m.: Nykel Dorsey, 19, of Plainfield was arrested for Shoplifting merchandise worth $462.44 from Kohls on Route 22 West. He was transported to headquarters, processed and was released pending a court date.

On Nov. 4 at 10:23 a.m.: Michael Falgiano, 40, of Somerset was arrested for Shoplifting $353.08 worth of electronics from Sears on Route 22 East. He also had a warrant for $500 and was transported to Somerset County Jail in lieu of bail.

On Nov. 5 at 6:15 p.m.: Cheryl Blair, 45, of Plainfield was arrested for Shoplifting perfume and jewelry worth $127.99. He was transported to headquarters, processed and was released pending a court date.

On Nov. 6 at 9:08 p.m.: Jose Montiel, 40, of Plainfield was arrested on outstanding warrant out of Piscataway for $150 following a motor vehicle stop on Mountain Avenue. He was transported to headquarters, processed and was released after posting cash bail.

On Nov. 6 at 1:09 p.m.: Tauheed Henry, 22, of Plainfield was arrested for Possession of CDS under 50 grams and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia following a motor vehicle stop on Route 22 West. He was transported to headquarters, processed and was released on summonses.
