Alleged Green Brook Bank Robber Arrested
Andrew Miller of Scotch Plains arrested for robbery of TD banks in Bridgewater and Green Brook, report says
Green Brook NJ -- A Scotch Plains man was arrested in connection with two bank robberies in Bridgewater and Green Brook that occurred on Sunday, Somerset County Prosecutor Geoffrey D. Soriano said.
Andrew D. Miller, age 20, of Donato Circle was charged with two counts of robbery, second degree on Dec. 20.
On Dec. 20 at around 1:24 p.m., a bank teller of a TD Bank on Union Avenue in Bridgewater said a man, later identified as Miller, handed the teller a note announcing the robbery and fled from the bank on foot with money, according to Soriano.

Detectives from the Bridgewater Police Department, the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit, and the Crime Scene Investigations /Forensics Unit and Agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation starting working on the case
While police were investigating the first robbery another TD Bank on Washington Avenue in Green Brook reported a similar robbery at 2:19 p.m.

A bank teller in Green Brook said a man handed a note demanding money and verbally instructed the teller on the denominations that he wanted. The suspect, who matched the description of the Bridgewater robbery, fled from the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of money, Soriano said.
Detectives from the Green Brook Police Department joined the investigation.
Around 2:46 p.m., Somerset County authorities were made aware of a foot pursuit involving officers from the Scotch Plains Police Department and Miller.
Miller was arrested by Scotch Plains Police detectives as he hid inside a restaurant bathroom in town. Green Brook police located Miller’s vehicle parked on Mountain Avenue in Scotch Plains and was found to have been stolen out of Springfield, according to Soriano.
Bail was set by the Honorable Judge Julie M. Marino at $75,000 cash or bond. The investigation is on-going and additional charges are anticipated against defendant Miller by Union County law enforcement authorities.
