Alleged Package Thief Arrested In North Plainfield
The Union County man was caught on video stealing a package from the front porch of a North Plainfield home, police report.
NORTH PLAINFIELD, NJ — A Plainfield man was arrested after he was caught on video stealing a package off the porch of a North Plainfield home, police report.
In the video, a suspect is seen on Oct. 11 arriving in a vehicle that appears to be a white BMW or similar vehicle, and then flees the scene south towards Plainfield, police reported.

The man in the video was identified as Eric Chester, 56, who operates a 2009 white Mercedes Benz C-300. He was charged with the package theft.
