Alleged Package Thief Wanted In North Plainfield
Carle Dangelo has been arrested twice in the past week for package thefts in North Plainfield, police report.

NORTH PLAINFIELD, NJ — North Plainfield are warning residents about an alleged repeat package thief.
Carle Dangelo has been arrested twice in the past week for package thefts and is a "known repeat / convicted package thief" within North Plainfield, police report.
Police are asking anyone who sees Dangelo to contact them immediately.

Dangelo travels on foot walking up and down streets looking for packages left on porches or doorsteps. Dangelo then opens the package, discards the box and label and conceals the contents on his person, police report.
Residents expecting packages of value are asked to either sign for the item, pick it up at a local UPS location or arrange to be home when it is delivered.

"It is unfortunate that these steps need to be taken but we are seeing this type of crime more and more often," police said on Facebook.
