Award Winning Watchung Hills High School Artists at the Watchung Arts Center

April Show highlights the talents of student artists

Kim Chao and Samantha Snyder are among the Watchung Hills Regional High School students whose works are on display in the Watchung Arts Center’s Heinz W. Otto Gallery during the month of April. Chao was a 1st Place winner for Mixed Media and Snyder placed 3rd for Charcoal at the DuCret School of Art Show in February.
All of the disciplines of Art including Painting, Drawing, Photography, Sculpture Digital Arts and Ceramics will be on display in a show which will also feature student award winners from Scholastics Arts, Hillsborough Cultural and Heritage Art Show and Morris Museum shows. Students who are members of the Watchung Hills chapter of the National Art Honor Society will also be instrumental in setting up the gallery display as well as having their art work in the show.
The opening reception will be on Sunday April 19 from 1-4. Also in April, the Lower Gallery will present “A Painter, a Sculptor and a Cabinetmaker Walk Into a Bar...” an exhibit by artist Dan Gordon.
The Watchung Arts Center is located on the circle at 18 Stirling Road ,Watchung ,NJ . The Gallery is open Tues.-Fri. noon-5pm and Sat. 10:00am-3:00pm. For more information go to watchungarts.org or call 908 753 0190.
