Chris Christie Not Taking the Bait on Meghan McCain Comments
The governor dismissed a call for comment on McCain's statement, saying the situation is "ridiculous" and 'sophomoric.'
Meghan McCain may be overĀ Chris Christie, but the New Jersey governor couldn't care less.
During an appearance on NJ 101.5's "Ask the Governor" program,Ā Christie saidĀ he wouldn't be reacting to comments made by the Republican pundit and daughter of Sen. John McCain on Piers Morgan Live earlier this week.
"It's so ridiculous and sophomoric that I have no response to Meghan McCain," Christie said. "Meghan McCain has no standing to be criticizing me. ... I'm not going to be responding to somebody just because of their last name."Ā
