Deer Hunt Begins In Watchung
The hunt will take place on three tracts of municipal land, and also on two tracts of privately owned land in Watchung through Feb. 10.

WATCHUNG, NJ — The Watchung deer hunt has begun and may continue through Feb. 10, the borough announced.
The deer management program will take place on three tracts of municipal land, and also on two tracts of privately owned land, as permitted by state regulations.
Shooting is limited to the five sites approved and designated in the program and will only be done from elevated tree stands.

Hunting will take place on the following tracts Monday through Friday, dawn to dusk:
- Site # 1 – 19.8 acres west end of Mountain Boulevard
- Site # 2 – 6.4 acres – between Route 22 and Johnston Drive – east end
- Site # 3 – 1.4 acres east on Mountain Boulevard
- Site # 4 – 9.56 acres on Sequoia Drive
- Site #5 – 40 acres on Bonnie Burn Road
A 24-hour telephone hotline will be in operation at the Watchung Borough Municipal Building and will be maintained by the Borough to provide updated information if any new tracts are added or removed. The hot line number is 908-745-2111, option 1.
