"This is Gracie, a 17 year and 7 months old Chihuahua. Gracie’s will to live and dedication to her owners is inspiring.

She battles heart disease and other ailments but has this irrepressible will to live! She tries everyday to live her life to the fullest! Never giving in to the physical challenges she faces.

We love our Gracie who is full of love and grace as her name suggests. She has given us so many years of happiness and unconditional love. We salute you Gracie!"

Participating in the Pet of the Week happenings is simple: submit your nomination by emailing alexis.tarrazi@patch.com. Be sure to include a photograph or two of your pet, a paragraph about what makes him or her so great, and what town you're from. You can choose to include your name, but you don't need to. Then just keep an eye out for a photo of your pet on the Patch!
