Man Wanted For Shoplifting At Watchung Store
Multiple warrant and shoplifting arrests were made recently in Watchung, according to the police blotter.

WATCHUNG, NJ — A man is wanted for shoplifting $150 in electronics from the Kohl's store on Route 22 West in Watchung.
On Sept. 23 at 12:52 p.m., Kohl's reported a shoplifter who fled from the store with the merchandise. The suspect was described as a 30 to 40 year old black man wearing all black, a black hat and glasses, police reported.
Police are investigating.

On Sept. 20 at 12:14 p.m.: Michael McCarthy, 35, of Hillsborough was arrested during a traffic stop on Hillcrest Road for an active warrant out of Hillside Municipal Court. He was transported to Watchung Police Department headquarters and released after posting $240 in bail.

On Sept. 23 at 8:08 p.m.: Jerry Lawson, 30, of Newark was arrested during a traffic stop on Stirling Road for an active warrant out of Linden for $500. He was unable to post bail and released on his own recognizance.
On Sept. 21 at 4:20 p.m.: Andre Thomas, 21, of Plainfield was arrested at the Middlesex County Jail for a Watchung warrant for $500. Thomas failed to post bail and was transported to Somerset County Jail.
On Sept. 14 at 5:37 p.m.: George Clayton, 54, of Bayonne was arrested for shoplifting $124.98 worth of merchandise from Kohl's on Route 22 West. Clayton was transported to Watchung Police Department headquarters for processing and released with a court date.
On Sept. 14 at 10:10 a.m.: Enyinna Chimezie, 32, of Vauxhall was arrested during a traffic stop on Route 22 East for having an active warrant out of Union Township Municipal Court for $349. Chimezie was transported to Watchung Police Department headquarters for processing and released after posting bail.
On Sept. 13 at 4:37 p.m.: Luis Lemus-Vasquez, 31, of Plainfield was arrested during a traffic stop on Route 22 West for having an active warrant out of Plainfield Municipal Court for $878. Lemus-Vasquez was transported to Watchung Police Department headquarters for processing and released after posting bail.
