Missing Watchung Woman Found, Reunited With Family For Holidays

Good news: Helen Kim of Watchung, who had been missing for 2 weeks, will now be able to celebrate the holidays surrounded by her family.

WATCHUNG, NJ — Watchung local Helen Kim, who had been missing for two weeks, has been found and reunited with her family.

Kim was found in New York City on Wednesday, Dec. 19, just one day after her 48th birthday, Watchung Police Chief Joe Cina said.

Kim had been missing for two weeks after she walked away from her home in The Point apartment complex on Route 22 West in Watchung on Dec. 6 at about 1:30 p.m.

She had been spotted in North Plainfield and last seen in Scotch Plains boarding a NJ Transit bus, line 59, that runs between Newark and Dunellen.

Kim will now be able to celebrate the holidays surrounded by her family.
