New Council Members File for June Primary
And Green Brook voters will see David Breen, Jerry Searfoss on primary ballots.

Just four days after joining the Watchung Borough Council, Deanna Beck-Cemens and Robert Gibbs filed for the June primary, Borough Clerk Michelle DeRocco said.
Beck-Clemens and Gibbs were sworn in Thursday night to fill seats vacated by Stephen Pote and Karen Cassidy.
Joining Beck-Clemens and Gibbs in the primary will be William Nehls. All of the candidates are Republicans; no Democrats filed for the primary, DeRocco said.

Stephen Pote filed the lone petition for the primary races for mayor.Ā
In Green Brook, Township Committeeman Jerry Searfoss filed for the primary for the Republican nomination, while David Breen will seek the Democratic nomination. Breen ran for the Township Committee last year, also.Ā

The primaries will be held June 4, with polls open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
