Somerset County Freeholder Brian D. Levine announced that the county Office on Aging and Disability Services is seeking nominations for the sixth annual “Profiles of Positive Aging” recognition. The program honors residents age 60 and above who inspire others and bring continuity to the fabric of their communities.
“Each year, the Board of Freeholders looks forward to honoring the diversity and vitality of our older residents,” said Freeholder Levine, human services liaison. “This is especially true this year, which represents the 50th Anniversary of The Older Americans Act. In keeping with the national theme for Older Americans Month, “Get into the Act,” we are recognizing individuals that are engaged, active and involved in their own lives and in their communities.”
Due by Friday, April 3, nominations can come from any source, including friends, self or organizations.
