Shoplifter Wanted For Theft Of Frozen Food In Watchung

The man allegedly stole $122 worth of frozen food from Stop and Shop in Watchung, police report.

WATCHUNG, NJ — A man is wanted for shoplifting frozen food from Stop & Shop in Watchung, police report.

On Sept. 27, Stop & Shop on Route 22 West reported a shoplifter who fled from the store with merchandise. The suspect was described as 5’10” 230 pound black man in his 40’s wearing a short sleeved black shirt, black shorts, black sneakers and a black hat, police report.

The suspect fled from the store with frozen food valued at $122 and police are investigating, police report.

On Sept. 30: A Buffalo Wild Wings employee reported the theft of her cell phone while working. She stated she set the phone down momentarily while performing tasks and where she went back to get the phone, it was gone. The phone was a Samsung Galaxy S7 valued at $200.

On Sept. 26: Klaudia Majewska, 28, of Rahway was arrested at DSW Shoe Warehouse on Route 22 West for shoplifting shoes valued at $69.99. She was transported to Watchung Police Department headquarters and processed. She was released with a summons and given a court date.

On Sept. 29: Washingto Pesantez, 50, of Belleville was arrested for committing a theft of gold dust from Jared Jewelers. He was transported to headquarters, processed and released on a summonses with a court date.

On Sept. 29: Jasmond Stepney, 36, of Phillipsburg was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Watchung for $853. He was transported to Somerset County Jail.
