Washington Avenue To Be Closed For 3 Weeks

Traffic travelling south on Washington Avenue from Route 22 will be detoured onto Greenbrook Road towards Rock Avenue

Green Brook, NJ -- Drivers should start planning an alternate route.

Washington Avenue in Green Brook will be closed to all traffic for three weeks due to emergency sewer repairs in Dunellen, police announced.

The avenue will be closed at the Dunellen border starting Monday, May 16 at 6 a.m. and continuing until Friday, June 3.

As a result of this closure, traffic travelling south on Washington Avenue from Route 22 will be detoured onto Greenbrook Road towards Rock Avenue, police reported.

Drivers are urged to use alternate routes during this construction, including Rock Avenue and Warrenville Road.
