Watchung, Green Brook Primary Day 2018 Information

Tuesday, June 5 is primary day. Here's a list of who is running and where to vote in Watchung and Green Brook.

WATCHUNG/GREEN BROOK, NJ — On Tuesday, voters will be heading to the polls to cast their ballots in the primary election. Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Locally, in Watchung Borough both races are currently uncontested. There is one Democrat Keith Balla of 45 Shawnee Dr. running against Republican Stephen Black of 60 Vail Ln. for the four-year mayor seat.

The township committee is also uncontested with two Democrats and two Republicans vying for the two three-year seats. Democrats include: Lindsay Goodloe of 16 Upper Dr. and Daryl Eisenberg Knegten of 115 Oakwood Road East. Republicans include: David Mobus of 133 Skyline Dr. and Maria Alberto of 45 Acorn Dr.

In Green Brook, the township committee race is also uncontested with two Democrats and two Republicans vying for the two three-year seats.

Democrats include: Bryan Murdock of 101 Gold St. and Arthur Goodman of 106 School St. Republicans include: Patrick Boccio of 123 Warrenville Rd. and James VanArsdale of 49 Rock Road West.

On the congressional level there is a contested race for the 7th Congressional District seat.

The two-year term seat is currently held by Leonard Lance, who has held the seat since 2009. District 7 covers all of Hunterdon County, and parts of Essex, Morris, Somerset, Union, and Warren counties.

  • District 2 - Wilson Memorial Union Church, 7 Valley Rd.
  • District 3 - Bayberry School, 105 Bayberry Ln.
  • District 5 - Wilson Memorial Union Church, 7 Valley Rd.

  • District 1, 3, 4, 6 - Green Brook Middle School, 132 Jefferson Ave.
  • District 2, 5 - Green Brook Firehouse No. 2, Washington Rock Road West
