Watchung Waives Some Tree Removal Permit Approvals

It is the decision of the Borough Council to temporarily waive the requirement for permits for the removal of dead, diseased or decaying trees or trees that may otherwise pose a hazard to structures or human life. 

The effective date of this temporary determination is Monday, Nov. 12th and it will run through midnight on Nov. 26, 2012. 

The Borough Council will memorialize this decision at the next Council meeting scheduled for Nov. 26, 2012, beginning at 7:30 p.m.  It is possible that the temporary policy decision could be amended at that time.
