Police found people shot inside the club and in the parking lot.

One person died and five others were wounded after being shot in a North Jersey club early Sunday morning, police said.

Paterson Police officers responded to the club after being notified at 5:30 a.m. there was a shooting there, Paterson Police Director Jerry Speziale said in a press release. Police did not release the name of the club.

Responding officers found multiple people in the parking lot and inside the club shot, Speziale said. An ambulance took four of the victims to St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center's emergency room; one of them was pronounced dead at the hospital, he said.
