2 Wayne Teens Dead In Weekend Car Crash: Officials
Christian Enrico and Liam Pakonis, both Wayne Hills High School students, died in a crash Friday according to school and township officials.

WAYNE, NJ — Two Wayne Hills High School students died in a weekend crash, according to posts from the school district and local officials.
Family and friends are mourning juniors Christian Enrico and Liam Pakonis, who were killed Friday in a car crash according to reports from NorthJersey.com and TAPinto. Details about the crash have not been released as of Monday morning.

Both teens were members of the Wayne Hills swim team, the TAPinto report said.
Grief counselors will be available at the school from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday-Wednesday, according to a letter to parents from the school district. There is no appointment necessary for students to talk to someone.

Enrico was 17, according to his obituary with Stellato Funeral Homes in Fairfield. He is survived by his parents, five siblings, nephews, and one grandparent.
Enrico was a Jiu Jitsu enthusiast and enjoyed gaming, cars, and outdoor activities according to the obit.
"Christian was a kind and loving son who always made his parents proud," the memorial says.
His family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 5 from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home (7 Two Bridges Road, Fairfield NJ 07004), with a funeral service at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 6.
An obituary for Pakonis has not been posted as of Monday morning.
Fran Ritter, Wayne councilwoman for the 5th Ward, expressed her sorrow and said the teens were her childrens' classmates.
"My family and I send our prayers and deepest condolences to their families, classmates, teachers, coaches and to all who loved them," Ritter said on Sunday. "May they Rest in Peace."
