Matthew Polifonte was critically injured when Gina Damario-Aubin was driving drunk and crashed into his family's vehicle on Alps Road.

More than $37,000 has been donated to help a 9-year-old boy who was critically injured in a DWI crash in Wayne Thursday.

According to a Go Fund Me campaign set up for the family, Matthew Polifonte was injured when a drunk driver crashed into his family's Toyota Sienna on Ratzer Road Thursday night.

Alicia Serventi Disteso, on behalf of Lori Polifonte, said on the page that Polifonte was placed in a medically-induced coma. Polifonte is one of five children. He turns 10 on Monday, his family said. Disteso had only asked for $5,000 when the campaign started Friday.
