6 Smash-And-Grab Jewelry Store Robbers Caught After Multiple Brazen Heists In North Jersey, Authorities Say

The men wore masks while using crowbars and sledgehammers during the daytime robberies, officials said.

PASSAIC COUNTY, NJ — Six men have been arrested for their role in a series of smash-and-grab jewelry store robberies across several areas, including Passaic County.

According to authorities, several jewelry stores across New Jersey, Staten Island, and New York were robbed by masked, gloved men who used similar tactics to victimize the stores since at least the summer of 2025.

The men would enter the store during operating hours and use crowbars and sledgehammers to break into jewelry cases and take whatever they could from inside, according to officials.
