VIDEO: 9/11 Survivor From Wayne: 'Clinton Stood With Me Through The Darkest Days'

Lauren Manning suffered burns to 82 percent of her body during the attack on the World Trade Center.

WAYNE, N.J. — Lauren Manning spent more than six months in a hospital recovering from the 9/11 terrorist attack on the World Trade Center. She was a managing partner with Cantor Fitzgerald when the two fuel-filled planes struck the World Trade Center — an act that burned more than 82 percent of Manning's body.

Manning's chances of survival were slim, but she did. And she credits Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton with helping her through the ordeal.

"I fought as hard as I could so the terrorist would not get one more," Manning, a Wayne Hills High School alumnus, told the crowd at the Democratic National Convention earlier this week. "Hillary Clinton stood with me through that fight and through the darkest of days, and through the hardest times, the people who show up in your life are the ones who mean everything. Hillary showed up."

"When I needed her, she was there," Manning said. "I trusted her when my life was on the line and she came through, not for the cameras, not because anyone was watching, but because that's who she is: Kind, caring, loyal. She had my back. This is the Hillary Clinton I want you to know."
