WAYNE, NJ — Polls for Wayne's Primary Election have closed, and results are beginning to stream in.
This year's primary election is set to be a consequential one in Wayne, with the two Democrats vying for the nomination to run for council.
Jim Freeswick, a retired attorney, and Dennis Marnick Jr., a realtor, are seeking the chance to become the only Democrat on Wayne's Council.
The winner of this year's primary will likely face off against Republican Matthew Cavallo come November, who is running unopposed for the GOP nomination in this race.
