App Reminds Residents When to Take Out the Garbage

Now residents will never forget when to take out their garbage thanks to a new service accessible through a mobile application.

The My Waste application gives residents access to the township’s waste collection calendar. They can also receive reminders as to when garbage and recycling will be picked up.

Residents simply select Wayne from the list and tell the application what section of town they live; the application will then provide a schedule for that part of town.

Special collection events, including hazardous household collections, prescription disposal and confidential document shredding events will also be listed.

Residents can use the application to report a problem and send comments and suggestions to the town.

The application is available for iOS-, including iPhones and iPads, and Android-enabled devices.
