What is Restaurant Week?

What is restaurant week? Restaurants in many towns throughout New Jersey showcasing their chefs at a discounted price.

What is Restaurant Week?

Restaurant Week is when some of the hottest and most popular restaurants in a town get together and showcase their restaurants and chefs.  The menus are a three- course prix fixe meal for lunch and dinner.  Have you been dying to try a restaurant but were afraid of the cost? During restaurant week the cost is a fraction of what normal prices would be.   Most dinners are around $30.13 and lunch $20.13.

Most Restaurant Weeks run from January to April.  This is normally a slower time for restaurants so they have established a week of drawing customers in with the hopes they will return.

Recommendations for Restaurant Week would be to make reservations.  At these prices places book up fast.  Be flexible.  If your first choice is booked, try another.  Most towns have over 30 restaurants participating.

Tip the staff well.  They are working on a discount that evening also.  Also remember the prices may not include drink and tax.
