Cedar Crest Donates More Than 200 Bags of Food to Pequannock Food Pantry
Annual Food Drive Helps Families in Need

Cedar Crest Retirement Community in Pompton Plains, New Jersey, recently donated more than 200 bags of food as well as toiletries to the Pequannock Food Pantry. For more than ten years, residents and staff have been participating in the community’s annual food drive to help local families in need.
Items donated included canned fruit and vegetables, coffee, jelly, ketchup, mayonnaise, pancake syrup, deodorant, dish soap, shampoo, tissues, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and more.
“Cedar Crest residents and staff have been incredibly generous throughout the years by supporting our food drive,” said Philanthropy Manager Lauren Corrente. “Our community comes together during the summer months when the food pantry is low on food items to graciously contribute all they can to help out our neighbors in need.”
