Cedar Crest Employees Donate More than 100 items to Pequannock Food Pantry
Community has a work culture where creativity and volunteerism is valued
The Communications Team from Cedar Crest, a distinctive Erickson Living Retirement Community in Pompton Plains, New Jersey, donated more than 100 items to the Pequannock Township Food Pantry in March. For fun, the staff was divided into theme-named teams—Spice Girls, Soap Stars, Hot Tomatoes, Paper Dolls. The employees collected a bounty of products including sugar, flour, baking soda, chili powder, bath soap, shampoo, towels, Kleenex and more. The Pantry serves approximately 85 Pequannock Township family each month.
“I am so proud of our team for participating in this great team-building event for an excellent local charity. This project is an example of the wonderful volunteer spirit on campus,” said Cedar Crest Communications Supervisor Lisa Huguenel. The communications team coordinates telephone and front desk communications services for residents and staff at the active retirement community.
