Cedar Crest Kicks Off Spiritual Care Week

Luncheon held for retired clergy residing at Cedar Crest

The Pastoral Ministries Department at Cedar Crest kicked off its 2016 Spiritual Care Week on Monday, October 17, with a luncheon for all the retired clergy residing at Cedar Crest. Currently, 11 retired clergy from the Catholic and Protestant faith traditions are residents of the active continuing care retirement community in Pompton Plains, New Jersey.

Six residents and three members of the Cedar Crest Pastoral Ministries team attended the luncheon and shared their ministry experiences as well as enjoyed a special time of fellowship. Their experiences ranged from missionaries overseas, pulpit ministry in local churches, teaching Theology at the University level and ordained deacons in the Catholic Church. In addition to the luncheon, display tables with information about Spiritual Care will be on display until October 22 in Mountainview Gardens and the foyer of the Interfaith Chapel.

Cedar Crest Pastoral Ministries Department serves residents of all faiths by facilitating worship services, offering counseling and coordinating activities that foster spiritual growth.
