CEDAR CREST PROTESTANT COMMUNITY DONATES 33 BAGS OF GROCERIES TO PEQUANNOCK FOOD PANTRY
On July 2, the Cedar Crest Protestant Community held a food collection to benefit the Pequannock Food Pantry. The inter-denominational congregation filled ten 33 gallon black bags with groceries and contributed a check for $275 to the Food Pantry, which often finds its stock depleted in the summer months.
Protestant Council President, Elaine Thomas, noted this was the second effort to contribute to the Pequannock Food Pantry and was pleased that on a holiday weekend, the members responded generously in helping a local group provide a needed service. The Cedar Crest Protestant Community gives cash donations monthly to a variety of local, national and international charities and donates regularly to the CUMAC clothing drive.
