Cedar Crest Residents Donate Groceries to Local Food Pantry
Six packed shopping carts of groceries and $1,600 were donated to the Pequannock Food Pantry

Cedar Crest, a developed and managed Erickson Living senior living community in Pompton Plains, New Jersey, held a food drive this month to benefit the Pequannock Food Pantry. This year’s collection was promoted to residents by the three faith communities of Protestant, Catholic, and Jewish residents. In July, six packed shopping carts of groceries and $1,600 were donated to the food pantry, which often finds its stock depleted in the summer months.
“This was the third year residents donated to the Pequannock Food Pantry and the first time that three faith groups joined together to promote the effort to their members. Thank you to our generous residents for helping our local food pantry provide a needed service,” said Cedar Crest’s Protestant Council President Kathy Moffitt.
Cedar Crest residents also donate an average of 150 large black garbage bags of clothing quarterly to the CUMAC clothing drive. CUMAC is located in Patterson, New Jersey.
