Cedar Crest residents enjoy “Coffee with a Cop”

Event sponsored by Pequannock Township Police

On November 12, residents from Cedar Crest Retirement Community enjoyed “Coffee with a Cop.” The program, sponsored by the Pequannock Police Department, provides a unique opportunity for community members to ask questions and learn more about the department's work in a relaxed and informal setting. Residents met with Detective Lieutenant Michael Fairweather, Detective Steve Cicchetti, Traffic Officer Jack Lyon, and K9 Officer Kevin Ricciardi and his drug-sniffing dog, Jemma.

At the event, the Pequannock Police Department held a mobile prescription drug drop off for residents and collected more than 50 pounds of unused medications for proper disposal. Also, they handed out pamphlets on identity theft safety and senior fraud prevention.

Cedar Crest is one of 19 continuing care retirement communities managed by Erickson Living. The scenic 104-acre campus is located in Pompton Plains, New Jersey and is home to over 2,000 residents. The community offers abundant amenities, hundreds of clubs and activities, on-site restaurants, a state-of-the-art medical center, an all-season pool and a fitness center.
