Cops, EMTs Help Deliver Baby Boy In Wayne Home

Baby Theo was brought into the world with the help of some Wayne first responders.

WAYNE, NJ — A handful of Wayne first responders are being applauded for their role in welcoming a new addition to a Wayne family.

On March 20, Wayne Police Officers Amundson, Sole, Struble, and Kirby were called to a local household where a woman was giving birth.

With the help of the Wayne First Aid Squad’s Esteban Ocana and Bill Marosits, as well as paramedics from Saint Joseph's, baby Theo was welcomed into the world.

Wayne police say Theo, as well as his mother, Dana Murphy, are doing well. The police returned to the family with gifts for the newborn.


“Baby Theo is doing well and parents Dana and Craig Murphy are grateful for the response by WPD,” a social media post read.
